Phemelo Tebogo Tlalanyane is a Botswana-born novelist and short story writer. She won first prize in the 2007 National Writers Competition organised by Books Botswana and the British Council. Her debut novel, Journey to Bogofi, follows three women across three different worlds converging on one destination, weaving together themes of identity, inheritance, and the ancestral ties that shape women's lives in contemporary Botswana. Her short fiction has appeared in Women Writing Botswana, published by the University of KwaZulu-Natal Press. She is currently completing her second novel, Under the Capricorn Sky, set in Gaborone West.
